Sometimes both the egg and sperms may need to be obtained from donors for some couples. This is called embryo donation. For this procedure first embryos are prepared according to the wishes and physical characteristics - blood types of the couple and then the female partner is prepared by taking oral, vaginal medications or sometimes transdermal medications and the transfer is done after 18-19 days. Before the preparation stage, as a standard, tests and examinations including ultrasonography, x-ray of the uterus, blood tests are done to check whether the patient's uterus and organism is suitable for pregnancy.
